My Money Buddy: delete your account

You can ask us to delete your My Money Buddy account and the data we hold about you at any time.

How to ask for deletion

Send an email to moneybuddybyindiepopai.app@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account.
Send it from the email address you sign in to My Money Buddy with, so we know the account is yours.
We will delete your account and reply to confirm within 30 days.

If you pay for My Money Buddy Premium, please also cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store (or the App Store on iPhone). Deleting your account does not stop the subscription by itself.

What we delete

Your My Money Buddy account: your email address, your sign-in details and the saved permission that lets My Money Buddy use your Google Sheet.
Your trial and Premium status.
Any messages still waiting in your pending list.
Any split expenses from friends that are waiting to be added to your sheet.
The app usage statistics linked to your account.

Your Google Sheet

Your transactions, budgets and split expenses are stored in a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive, not on our servers. It belongs to you, so we do not delete it. You can keep it, or delete it yourself from Google Drive. You can also remove My Money Buddy's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

What we keep

Split expenses you shared with friends. When you split a bill, each friend gets their own copy in their own Google Sheet. Those copies belong to your friends, so they stay in their sheets after you delete your account.
Purchase records. If you bought Premium, Google Play or the App Store, and our payment provider RevenueCat, keep records of the purchase as required for tax and accounting.
Server logs. Our servers keep short technical logs, which can include your email address, for up to 30 days before they are deleted automatically.

Even if you don't ask us, messages in your pending list are deleted automatically after 7 days, and split expenses waiting for your sheet after 30 days.
